Duration: 1 WEEK
NOTE: ONLY LEARNERS THAT HAVE SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETED THE BASIC ELECTRICAL COURSE WILL BE ELIGIBLE TO ENROL FOR PART 2
- Single Phase vs. Three Phase.
- Motor Starting methods.
- Understanding Electric Circuit Diagrams.
- Identifying components on Simulation Boards from circuit diagrams.
- Connecting of motors to circuit boards.
- Fault finding and correction of controls circuits with simulation of running failures:
- Emergency fire shutdown.
- HP Cut out.
- LP cut out.
- Solenoid pump down.
- Airflow failure.
- Overheating.
- Setting overloads.
- Electrical safety whilst doing the above.
The learner will need to successfully complete a number of practical tasks to the required standard. He/she would have to fault find on a control circuit and ensure operation of:
- DOL Motor
- Part Wind Motor
- Star Delta Start Motor
- Variable Speed Motor
- Cable jointing techniques.
