Techniskills, a Merseta and SAMSA accredited training facility approved by Saracca, offers a wide range of Unit Standard based products tailored specifically to industry’s needs. Our fully equipped venue includes five ‘walk in’ refrigerator units as well as other specialized equipment that is further detailed in various course breakdowns. The most recent development is a state of the art Refrigeration Trade Test Centre that meets the standards of both industry and NAMB (National Artisan Moderating Body).
Other services include the broader Skills Development interventions acting in conjunction with the Manufacturing, Engineering and Related Services (Seta) in terms of access to grants as well as management and advice on issues concerning Apprentices and Learners on a leadership. Our staff are qualified in their respective disciplines as well as being accredited Facilitators, Assessors and Moderators registered with the EDTP and Merseta.
Although our facility is well equipped, we have access to industry for a variety of experiential requests to enhance the training within the Refrigeration environment. Techniskills’s Assessors are able to travel to meet client’s needs and provide on-site or in house training as flexibility is one of our key objectives. Our Principal Assessor has been the Trade Test Official at a FET College for 8 years and will be available for de-centralised Trade Testing in the field of Refrigeration Mechanic.
