- NAMB (National Artisan Moderating Body) Refrigeration Mechanic Trade Testing.
- Merseta (Manufacturing, Engineering and Related Seta) Legacy Trade Training
- Samsa (South African Maritime Safety Authority) Part Qualification Training.
The facility is also approved by SARACCA (South African Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Contractors Association).
The facility offers a wide range of modular based training which meets both the requirements of the accreditation bodies and industry, Our fully equipped venue includes five ‘walk in’ refrigeration units, eight smaller units and other specialized equipment that is essential to the refrigeration trade training. The Trade Test Centre meets all the necessary requirements of industry and NAMB.
The three facets of the Occupational Trades Training, namely, Knowledge Modules, Practical Modules and Workplace Modules have been carefully developed for the Refrigeration Mechanic Apprenticeship under the auspiciousness of QCTO and accreditation has been granted by them for five years.
Legacy Training continues under the direction of Merseta and a Service Level Agreement with Samsa is ongoing, training sea going members in the Refrigeration part of their qualifications.
Further services include the management of Apprentices regarding their skills development, the continuous advice on training paths leading to trade testing and, assessment and evaluation of students during and after training. Our staff are qualified in their respective disciplines as well as being accredited Facilitators, Assessors and Moderators registered with the relevant entities. The geographical and logistical challenges of getting employees to Techniskills for training are met with the Techniskills staff able to travel and do the training on site.
